Questions people ask
Is ChatGPT agent still available?
No. OpenAI's help center says ChatGPT agent is no longer available and points to cloud browser in ChatGPT Work, on paid plans except Go. Operator was folded into ChatGPT agent on July 17, 2025, and ChatGPT Atlas is retired.
What is the difference between Browser Use Cloud and browser-use?
browser-use is the open-source Python library (MIT) you run on your own machine with your own model key. Browser Use Cloud is the hosted product: Browser Use Agents take a task over API V4 and return the result, on managed stealth browsers with proxies and CAPTCHA solving available.
How much does Browser Use Cloud cost?
Pay as you go, no subscription. Agents bill model tokens at the provider's rate plus 20%, browsers cost $0.02 per browser-hour, and network traffic is extra: $5/GB through the managed proxy, $0.20/GB for direct or bring-your-own-proxy egress. On Browser Use Bench v2.1, Browser Use's agent used an estimated 11¢ of model cost per task; that excludes browser, proxy and search costs, so it is not the full bill.
