How it works

Convert a URL to Markdown

Enter a public URL, select the original HTML or browser-rendered page, or paste HTML. A base URL resolves relative links in pasted content.

Convert the structure

The converter uses deterministic HTML rules to preserve headings, paragraphs, lists, links, code, and tables. Choose main content to remove common navigation sections.

Download Markdown

Review the Markdown source and save a .md file for documentation, a dataset, or your application. No model rewrites or summarizes the content.

Can I convert HTML to Markdown without a URL?

Yes. Choose Pasted HTML, paste your markup, and click Convert to Markdown. Add an optional base URL to resolve relative links. The same converter supports website-to-Markdown and HTML-to-Markdown workflows.

How are tables and links handled?

HTML tables become Markdown pipe tables. Merged cells repeat their values. Links are resolved against the webpage or supplied base URL; unsupported URL schemes are removed. Without a base URL, unresolved relative links are omitted.

Is this a perfect copy of the page?

Markdown does not preserve CSS layouts, interactive controls, or every HTML detail. The converter reads one page and does not follow links or paginate. Browser rendering can reveal JavaScript content, but the tool does not perform login or consent steps.
