How Browser Use Empowers Frigade to Build the Best Onboarding Agent
Frigade uses Browser Use to automatically learn and document software and builds AI assistants that guide users through any task.
Frigade (YC W23) builds in-app assistants that make software easier to use.
In order to achieve this, they use Browser Use to document how their customers' apps work.
The Problem
Most in-app AI support is blind. Existing chatbots regurgitate generic help center articles without understanding user-specific context, placing massive onus on support teams to constantly write and maintain documentation.
Frigade's Solution
Rather than requiring customers to write and maintain their own knowledge base, Frigade uses browser agents to gain an understanding of any product. Frigade’s agents combine that understanding with what the user is actually seeing to help them directly in-app.
For instance, Frigade's agent can help with things like "how's this project performing?" or “help me configure my privacy settings.”
How Browser Use Makes This Possible
Building understanding of a product from scratch with zero prior context requires a robust browser agent that handles ambiguity and state changes.
Unlike deterministic Playwright scripts, Browser Use agents don't need context — they easily navigate the DOM and adapt to dynamic changes like popups. This allows Frigade to automatically document complicated, nondeterministic applications where the state is constantly changing.
Browser Use also helped solve another pain point: authentication.
Using other providers, we ran into a lot of CAPTCHA issues. Other companies claim to have stealth mode, but we never got it working. Browser-Use cloud worked instantly and out of the box.

What's Next for Frigade
Right now their agent excels at teaching users how to get from A to B. Next, they want their agent to do more things for users.
What we're working on now is like, okay, how do we go from Google Maps to Waymo, where we do all the driving... instead of showing me how, just do it for me.
