## GitBook

Documentation and knowledge platform. Agents can search GitBook docs, compare plans and get steps to start a docs site.

[Open gitbook.com](https://www.gitbook.com/)

## Ask an agent to

- Search GitBook docs for how to set up a custom domain
- Compare GitBook plans for a 10-person team
- Get the steps to create a new GitBook docs site

## 3 tools

When we loaded gitbook.com again on Oct 24, 2026, it registered these through `navigator.modelContext` or `provideContext()`, from earlier WebMCP drafts. Chrome 154 only offers `document.modelContext`, so Chrome’s own agent support does not see them.

- `get_gitbook_plans`

Get GitBook's plans and what each one includes, to help decide which plan fits a team's needs.

- `search_gitbook_docs`

Search GitBook's product documentation and return matching pages with links to their Markdown versions. Use this to answer questions about how GitBook works, its features, API, or configuration.

    query: string, limit: number?

- `start_gitbook_docs_site`

Get the steps and links needed to create a GitBook documentation site, including sign-up and importing existing content.

    source: string?

Tool names and descriptions are what www.gitbook.com/ registered when we loaded it in Chrome 154 on Browser Use Cloud. The summary and the “ask an agent” lines are AI-written from them. To call the tools yourself, see [Chrome’s WebMCP docs](https://developer.chrome.com/docs/ai/webmcp). [How we found it](https://browser-use.com/webmcp#method).
