# Google SERP Preview Tool & Social Media Cards

## Free Social & Google Preview Tool

Use a Google SERP preview and inspect Facebook, X/Twitter, and LinkedIn link cards. Inspect meta tags from a URL or pasted HTML and test local edits for free.

## How it works

### Read the page metadata

Enter a public URL or paste HTML. The tool reads the HTML title, meta description, canonical URL, Open Graph tags, and Twitter Card tags without executing JavaScript.

### Compare platform previews

Google uses an HTML title and description preview. Facebook and LinkedIn use Open Graph values with HTML text fallbacks; X uses Twitter Card values with Open Graph fallbacks.

### Try proposed changes

Edit the title, description, or social image URL locally to update all previews together. Your edits never change the source website.

### Will Google show this exact snippet?

No. This is an approximate search-result preview. Google can choose different title links and snippets depending on the page and search query. The tool does not predict rankings.

### Does this validate social platform crawlers?

No. Fetching HTML here does not prove that Facebook, X, or LinkedIn can access it. Platforms may cache old metadata or use different card layouts. This tool neither visits those platforms nor refreshes their caches.

### How are conflicting or missing tags handled?

Missing tags and duplicate values produce notices. The first value for a tag is used. Repeated Open Graph images can be intentional. Canonical and Open Graph URL disagreements are identified.

### Where do preview images come from?

Social images load directly from their original HTTP(S) URLs in your browser. They are not proxied or stored. Blocked images show an unavailable message. Relative paths require a usable page or base URL.
