BROWSER USE

- Browser Use Agents: give Browser Use a task and receive completed work. API V4 is current for new integrations.
- Browser Infrastructure: connect your agent or automation to managed browsers through SDK, REST, or CDP. Starts at $0.02/browser-hour.
- Developer tools: Open Source, Browser Harness, SDK, and MCP support the two products above.

## Three steps

1. Create a browser: `client.browsers.create()` with `browser-use-sdk` (TypeScript: `npm i browser-use-sdk puppeteer-core`, `import { BrowserUse } from "browser-use-sdk/v4"`, `const client = new BrowserUse()`; reads `BROWSER_USE_API_KEY`). Over REST: `POST https://api.browser-use.com/api/v4/browsers` with header `X-Browser-Use-API-Key`. Optional body fields: `proxyCountryCode`, `profileId`, `enableRecording`, `customProxy`, `solveCaptchas`, `timeout`. The response carries `id`, `cdpUrl` and `liveUrl`.
2. Connect Puppeteer: `puppeteer.connect({ browserWSEndpoint: cdpUrl })`. Use `puppeteer-core`: the browser runs on Browser Use Cloud, so there is no Chromium to download. The rest of your script runs unchanged.
3. Stop when done: `client.browsers.stop(id)`, or `PATCH /api/v4/browsers/{id}` with `{"action":"stop"}`. `browser.disconnect()` only closes your connection; the managed browser keeps running until the API stop or its timeout.

## What every browser includes

- $0.02 per browser-hour. Residential proxy traffic $5/GB. No subscription, credits never expire.
- Session length: 60 minutes by default, up to 240 minutes with `timeout`.
- Stealth on by default: our own hardened Chromium build got through on 90.5% of visits to 100 bot-protected sites in Stealth Bench V2; next provider Anchor 82%.
- Built-in automatic CAPTCHA solving. Set `solveCaptchas` to false to handle challenges yourself.
- Residential proxies in 195+ countries, selected per browser, or bring your own proxy.
- Persistent profiles for cookies and logins.
- A `liveUrl` for every browser, and an mp4 recording with `enableRecording` ([live view and recording](https://browser-use.com/live-view.md)).
- Concurrency from 10 to 1,000+ browsers per project, rising with what the project has paid ([usage tiers](https://browser-use.com/pricing#usage-tiers)).

The same `cdpUrl` works with Playwright: see [remote browser for Playwright](https://browser-use.com/playwright.md).
