BROWSER USE

- Browser Use Agents: give Browser Use a task and receive completed work. API V4 is current for new integrations.
- Browser Infrastructure: connect your agent or automation to managed browsers through SDK, REST, or CDP. Starts at $0.02/browser-hour.
- Developer tools: Open Source, Browser Harness, SDK, and MCP support the two products above.

# Live view and session recording for cloud browsers

> Every Browser Use Cloud browser returns a `liveUrl` you can open in a tab or embed in an iframe, read-only or with human takeover. Set `enableRecording` and get an mp4 after the browser stops. $0.02 per browser-hour, no subscription.

## Live view

- Standalone browsers: `POST /api/v4/browsers` (or `client.browsers.create()` in `browser-use-sdk`) returns `liveUrl` next to `cdpUrl`.
- Agent runs: the run's `browser.ready` event (or `browser.reattached` for a follow-up on the same browser) carries `live_view_url`.
- Embed it in any iframe. The viewer is hosted on `live.browser-use.com`; add that origin to your Content Security Policy `frame-src` if you set one.
- Read-only: add `readOnly=true` to the live URL (`ui=false` also hides tabs and toolbar), or wrap the iframe in an `inert` element with `pointer-events: none`. These are UI restrictions: anyone with the live URL or the CDP URL can still control the browser, so treat both as credentials.
- Human takeover: leave the view interactive and a person can log in, solve a step or approve, while your Playwright, Puppeteer or agent code keeps the same browser.

## Recording

- Opt-in per browser: `enableRecording: true` on `POST /api/v4/browsers` (`enable_recording=True` in Python), or `browserSettings.record: true` on an agent run. Recording is off by default.
- After the browser stops and the upload finishes, `GET /api/v4/browsers/{id}` returns `recordingUrl`, a presigned mp4 link that expires. Stop polling when `recordingAvailable` is false.
- Zero Data Retention projects never record, even when recording is requested.

Works the same for browsers driven by [Playwright](https://browser-use.com/playwright.md), [Puppeteer](https://browser-use.com/puppeteer.md) or a [Browser Use agent](https://browser-use.com/web-agents).
