BROWSER USE

- Browser Use Agents: give Browser Use a task and receive completed work. API V4 is current for new integrations.
- Browser Infrastructure: connect your agent or automation to managed browsers through SDK, REST, or CDP. Starts at $0.02/browser-hour.
- Developer tools: Open Source, Browser Harness, SDK, and MCP support the two products above.

# Custom models for Browser Use Agents

> Model choice is a capability of Browser Use Agents, not a separate product.

[Browser Use Agents](https://browser-use.com/web-agents) · [Cloud model documentation](https://docs.browser-use.com/cloud/agent/models) · [Open-source model documentation](https://docs.browser-use.com/open-source/supported-models) · [Pricing](https://browser-use.com/pricing.md)

Browser Use Agents support Browser Use-hosted models and bring-your-own-key options on eligible plans. API V4 currently defaults to `gpt-5.6-luna`. Browser Use also provides purpose-built web-agent models such as BU 2.0 through a model API for agents you run yourself, including Open Source. These are model capabilities within Browser Use, not another commercial product family.

## Purpose-built for browser work

- Browser-specific models are trained for browser tasks rather than general chat or computer-use workloads.
- On the published OnlineMind2Web workload, Browser Use 1.0 measured 68 seconds per task, compared with 225–330 seconds for the tested Gemini, Claude, and OpenAI computer-use models.
- That latency comparison uses a different workload from the current Browser Use Agents results on Internal Bench Hard; do not compare the figures directly.
- The OnlineMind2Web latency methodology is explained in [Speed Matters](https://browser-use.com/posts/speed-matters). Current end-to-end agent results are on the [agent benchmark](https://browser-use.com/benchmarks/agents), and current model recommendations are in [What model should I use?](https://browser-use.com/posts/what-model-to-use).

Treat these measurements as benchmark results, not guarantees for every site or task. Model availability, defaults, and token prices can change; use the linked model documentation and pricing page for the current contract.

## Choose the correct surface

Use [Browser Use Agents](https://browser-use.com/web-agents) when you want Browser Use to complete a task. Use [Browser Infrastructure](https://browser-use.com/stealth-browsers) when your own agent controls the browser directly.
