BROWSER USE

- Browser Use Agents: give Browser Use a task and receive completed work. API V4 is current for new integrations.
- Browser Infrastructure: connect your agent or automation to managed browsers through SDK, REST, or CDP. Starts at $0.02/browser-hour.
- Developer tools: Open Source, Browser Harness, SDK, and MCP support the two products above.

# Browserbase pricing (October 2026): plans, concurrency and cost per browser-hour

> Browserbase plans, checked October 16, 2026: Free (3 concurrent browsers, 1 browser-hour), Developer $20/month (25 concurrent, 100 hours, then $0.12/hour), Startup $99/month (100 concurrent, 500 hours, then $0.10/hour), Scale (250+ concurrent) through sales. Browser Use Cloud has no plan: $0.02 per browser-hour, no subscription, and concurrency that rises with the total a project has paid. 50 browsers at once costs $99/month on Browserbase Startup; on Browser Use a project reaches 50 at once after $100 total paid, once, as credits that never expire.

## Browserbase plans

|---|---:|---:|---:|---:|---|---|---:|
| Free | $0 | 3 | 1 | None | 0 GB | 15 minutes | 5 |
| Developer | $20 | 25 | 100 | $0.12 | 1 GB, then $12/GB | 6 hours | 25 |
| Startup | $99 | 100 | 500 | $0.10 | 5 GB, then $10/GB | 6 hours | 50 |
| Scale | Sales | 250+ | Custom | Custom | Usage-based | 6+ hours | 150+ |
| Browser Use Cloud (no plan) | $0 | 10 to 1,000 by total paid | None | $0.02 | $5/GB residential | Up to 4 hours | API budget of 25+ requests/second |

- Browserbase bills browser time by the minute and proxy traffic by the MB, with a one-minute and one-MB minimum per session. Browser Use bills browser time by the minute, with a one-minute minimum ([API reference](https://docs.browser-use.com/cloud/api-v4/browsers/create-browser-session)).
- Browserbase plans also include Agent, Search and Fetch calls and hosted Functions. Browserbase's Verified anti-bot mode needs the Scale plan.
- Browserbase concurrency is set per organization and split across its projects.

## Monthly browser bill at the same usage

| Usage | Billable browser-hours | At once | Browserbase | Browser Use |
|---|---:|---:|---|---|
| Prototype | 50 | 3 | $20 (Developer plan) | $1 |
| Side project | 300 | 10 | $44 (Developer plan) | $6 |
| 50 parallel browsers, 2 hours a day, 22 days | 2,200 | 50 | $269 (Startup plan) | $44, after $100 paid once to unlock 50 |
| 50 parallel browsers, 8 hours a day, 22 days | 8,800 | 50 | $929 (Startup plan) | $176, after $100 paid once to unlock 50 |

Billable hours, after each provider's per-session rounding (see billing above), so many very short sessions bill more than their runtime. Browserbase: the cheapest self-serve plan whose concurrency fits, plan fee plus listed overage. Browser Use: browser-hours times $0.02. The one-time payment is prepaid credit that the same browser-hours spend, not a fee. Both exclude network traffic (Browser Use: $5/GB residential proxy, $0.20/GB direct or your own proxy), and Browserbase's included Agent, Search and Fetch calls.

## Concurrency: a plan tier vs a total paid

On Browserbase the monthly plan sets how many browsers run at once (3, 25, 100 or 250+), with a separate cap on sessions created per minute. On Browser Use Cloud a new project runs 10 at once, and one payment counts in full as soon as it succeeds:

| Tier | Total paid | Concurrent sessions |
|---|---:|---:|
| Tier 0 | $0 | 10 |
| Tier 1 | $100 | 50 |
| Tier 2 | $1,000 | 250 |
| Tier 3 | $5,000 | 500 |
| Tier 4 | $25,000 | 1,000 |

The tiers apply to projects created since they launched; older projects keep their existing limits until support moves them ([details](https://browser-use.com/pricing.md)). Credits never expire and are spent on the same browser-hours. Agents and browsers share the project limit. Above 1,000, [enterprise terms](https://browser-use.com/enterprise.md).

## Running the browser-use library on either

Browserbase documents a [browser-use integration](https://docs.browserbase.com/integrations/browseruse/python): create a Browserbase session and pass `session.connect_url` to `BrowserProfile(cdp_url=...)`. Browser Use Cloud is built into the same library: `Browser(use_cloud=True)` creates the cloud browser, prints a live view URL, and stops it with `browser.stop()`. To run 50 agents in parallel, give each its own browser and cap the fan-out at your project's concurrency:

```python
import asyncio
from browser_use import Agent, Browser, ChatBrowserUse
async def run(task: str):
    browser = Browser(use_cloud=True)
    try:
        # no per-agent signal handler: Ctrl+C reaches every finally below
        agent = Agent(task=task, llm=ChatBrowserUse(), browser=browser, enable_signal_handler=False)
        return await agent.run()
    finally:
        await browser.stop()
async def main(tasks: list[str]):
    limit = asyncio.Semaphore(50)  # your project's concurrency
    async def bounded(t):
        async with limit:
            return await run(t)
    # return_exceptions: one failed agent does not abandon the others mid-run
    return await asyncio.gather(*(bounded(t) for t in tasks), return_exceptions=True)
```

## When Browserbase is the better fit

Stagehand's server-side caching and Model Gateway only run on Browserbase. Browserbase also supports Selenium and sells Search, Fetch and Functions alongside the browser. If those are central to your stack, the plan fee buys them.

## FAQ

**How much does Browserbase cost?** Free $0 (3 concurrent, 1 browser-hour), Developer $20/month (25 concurrent, 100 hours, then $0.12/hour), Startup $99/month (100 concurrent, 500 hours, then $0.10/hour), Scale through sales. Checked October 16, 2026.

**How many concurrent sessions does Browserbase allow?** 3 on Free, 25 on Developer, 100 on Startup, 250+ on Scale; session creation is capped at 5, 25, 50 and 150+ per minute.

**What does it cost to run 50 browsers in parallel?** Browserbase Startup at $99/month. On Browser Use Cloud, $100 total paid once unlocks 50 at once, then $0.02 per browser-hour. At 8,800 browser-hours a month: $929 on Browserbase, $176 on Browser Use, before proxy traffic.

**Is there a cheaper Browserbase alternative?** Browser Use Cloud: $0.02 per browser-hour with no subscription, against Browserbase's $0.10 to $0.12 after plan-included hours. On Stealth Bench V2 it got through on 90.5% of visits to 100 bot-protected sites, Browserbase on 78.5% ([method](https://browser-use.com/benchmarks/browsers)). The 100 sites were picked because Browser Use Cloud historically got through where stock Chrome with a US proxy did not. They are hard on purpose and not a balanced sample of the web or of anti-bot vendors.
